As Registered Massage Therapists, we utilize a variety of massage techniques to provide a treatment that is specific to our client’s goals. These techniques may include any combination of Swedish, connective and deep tissue methods, exercise and joint movement to manipulate the soft tissue and joints in a way that we expect to observe a positive response within the area of being treated. Other tools such as cupping and hydrotherapy may also be called upon to employ optimal results.
Your First Visit
Prior to your first visit we ask that you complete a new client intake form online which will provide your health history as part of our assessment. (you will receive the link in an email) This important information includes medical conditions and medications necessary for your RMT to provide a safe and effective treatment. We will listen to your concerns and assess your individual needs, as well as other factors that may be contributing to your condition. All information provided is confidential.
Your RMT will then develop a treatment plan with you to ensure you receive appropriate treatment that will help you to return, as much as possible, to your normal activities.
Please note that for your first visit, we suggest that you book 45 min or 60 min for your appointment as reviewing your health history & assessments can take 10-15 min of your treatment time.

Extended Health Coverage
Most Private Health Plans cover all or a portion of a Registered Massage Therapist’s treatments. As Registered Massage Therapists, we provide a receipt with all of the required information for you to submit to your insurance company.
Please note that we do not offer direct billing.
When you book an appointment with Soma Collective Health, that time is set aside for you. In the event that you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment, please contact your RMT directly by text or phone by 6 pm the day prior to your appointment. If you do not reach you RMT, please leave a voicemail message. A fee up to the value of your scheduled appointment may be administered at the discretion of your RMT, if arrangements are not made within this time frame.
Note: It is recognized that there are circumstances that are out of your control (sudden illness, family emergencies, etc.) Your RMT may make an exception to the above policies on those rare occasions.
